Gougane Barra Church is located west of Macroom in County Cork, Ireland. In additional to the little Irish church, it is also home to Ireland’s first national park, which opened in 1966. The forest surrounding the little church is spectacular, and well worth a hike through. I’d be willing to bet that you’ll pinch yourself and swear that you’re walking through a fairy tale.
